1st Asia Masters Marathon in Bangalore, India : MoU Signing Ceremony
The first Asia Masters Marathon will be organised in Bangalore, India in 2023.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the organiser MAFI (Masters Athletics Federation of India) and AMA was signed on 29th September 2022, in Bangkok, Thailand.
The date for the event is fixed on 5th March 2023.
This event will cover full marathon - 42.195 km; 21 Km, and 10 Km, all races according to masters' age categories.

INTRODUCTION
Asia Masters Athletics (AMA) has offered the organisation of 1st Asia Masters Marathon 2022 to Masters Athletics Federation of India (MAFI) in November 2022. But the date has been post phoned to 5th March 2023.
In late July 2022, there was an invitation from MAFI to AMA President and the Secretary to visit the Marathon venues in Bangalore. AMA President apologised that he cannot attend this venue inspection, and appointed the Mr. S. Sivapragasam - AMA Secretary, Mr. A. Kannan - the VP for Stadia, and Ms Kalaivalli Ratnam - the Women’s Chairman to go to Bangalore for venue inspection.
The AMA Venue Inspection Team lead by Mr. S. Sivapragasam went to Bangalore on 28th August 2022 night and inspected the venue and the route on 29th September 2022. The team also had discussion with the LOC and the Honourable Minister of Sports Karnataka.
The MoU was signed between AMA and MAFI on 29th September 2022.
