ANUGERAH  TOKOH SUKAN 2025

(NATIONAL SPORTS LEADERSHIP AWARD 2025)

Mr. S. Sivapragasam, President Malaysian Masters Athletics Association (MMAA), received the prestigious  Award Tokoh Sukan  from the Hon. Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim during the Official launching of “Hari Sukan Negara” on 11^th October 2025, at the Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah, Ipoh, Perak.

 

Mr. S. Siva has and still serving the country in sports for more than 65 years as an athlete, coach, administrator, lecturer, advisor etc.  He is the General Secretary of Asia Masters Athletics (AMA) and sits in the World Masters Athletics (WMA) main council. As a coach he has produced many national middle and long distance athletes in 80’s and 90’s, who have represented our country at SEA Games, Asian Track and Field, and Asian Games.

Mr. Siva  has promoted  and popularise the masters athletics movement not only in our country but at Asian countries.  He is a well known personnel  among the athletics and masters athletics fraternity.  At 83 years he is still going strong and showing a good example to the younger generation to serve the country.  His passion for athletics has guided him to this level and at last his commitment, his service, his sacrifice for his athletes have been recognised by the higher authority . 

We MMAA, AMA, and WMA take this opportunity to congratulate this great man, and salute him for all his services.

Thank you sir, for all your guidance, advice, and for your caring to all of us.  We are very glad that we have the opportunity to work along with this great man in sport .  Long Live Sir Siva!
